Built-in modules: database, authentication, email, SMS, AI model calls, image generation (no external services)
Backed by multiple LLMs (Claude Sonnet 4, Gemini 2.5 Pro, GPT-5) for app generation
Average ~6 minutes from prompt to a shareable live app
Credit-based usage: free tier gives 25 message credits + 100 integration credits + unlimited apps
Hosting and live deployment included on Base44 infrastructure
Front-end code export (backend logic stays on Base44)
Now part of Wix's vibe-coding offering post-acquisition

יתרונות וחסרונות

יתרונות

Truly all-in-one: DB, auth, email, and hosting are built in, skipping third-party setup
Fastest in class to a live app (~6 min vs ~8-12 min for Bolt.new / ~10 min for Lovable)
Forever-free plan with unlimited apps lets you build and ship a small project at no cost
Natural-language workflow is accessible to non-developers and founders
Wix backing brings resources and a clear product roadmap

חסרונות

Trustpilot rating is 2.2/5 (433 reviews), heavily polarized at 66% one-star
AI hits a complexity wall on advanced logic and structural changes, often unable to resolve issues reliably
Vendor lock-in: apps run on Base44 infrastructure and export gives only frontend code, not backend logic
Credits drain fast during debugging; the AI can loop fixing its own broken code, burning a month's allowance in one session
Post-Wix support slowed (hours to days/weeks), prices rose 15-30% per app footprint, and custom integrations were deprecated after March 2026

טיפים ושיטות עבודה מומלצות

פרטים באנגלית

Keep prompts and app scope simple; complex business logic is where the AI stalls and credits get wasted
Budget credits for debugging cycles, not just the initial build, since fixes consume credits too
Don't treat front-end export as a full migration path; backend logic stays locked to Base44
Validate an MVP idea on the free tier before paying, given the credit-burn risk on iteration
